Only an hour’s drive from Phuket International Airport, Khao Lak is located in Phang Nga, one of the southern provinces of Thailand on the coast of the Andaman Sea. A piece of paradise it offers long stretches of sandy beaches fringed by the jungle-covered mountains, forested valleys, and ancient mangroves in the surrounding national parks. More low-key than neighbouring island Phuket, it's a place to take it easy, read a book and get back to nature, whilst diving, snorkelling, and other water sports are available for some fun in the sun.
